Sorry for my inactivity + various questions

Hi guys,

First of all sorry for having being inactive for one year; I should have more time now.

Now the questions:

  • even though I’ve been busy, I’ve tried to update from the svn server a few times, but I’m up to date, at revision 5006… which is obviously not correct. Is there a new server?
  • I know this isn’t the good place, but is there a meaning behind the name “Nene”? It’s mildly disturbing in French cause it looks like “n?n?”, which is French for “boob”.

Well, there wasn’t that many questions after all…

Yes, we’ve long since switched to github. It’s listed on our developer page, but:

I don’t know - She was named by Guido Bos, our former artist/character-designer from the netherlands. I could spin some crap about various sorta-cognates in different languages like japanese, but I really have no idea. Speaking from my own perspective as a native english speaker, it’s a decent sounding name that sounds slightly exotic, and decidedly feminine.

And yeah “Nene” does sound definitely feminine in French…

Hi DDR,

Thanks very much! I suppose it was a joke but that bird is called “Sula” in French, which would sound exotic and feminine in French…
