I have downloaded &installed Frogatto but cannot get past the initial screen

I am using a MacBook (late 2007) with software release 10.6.4. The “new game” and “load game” do not respond to cursor clicks. Music is nice. The frog responds to the key board instructions.

You have to walk through the door, using the arrow keys; as the instructions above say.
