How exactly do you use these? Is there some special key you have to press to activate them, are they broken, or are they contingent on some conditions I don’t know about?
The instructions for them are very vague, more so than with any other purchasable item – the shield, for instance, clearly says that you should crouch to activate it, and the jumping shoes and speed boots are pretty obvious as well.

We didn’t put in fancy graphics of the wings doing their thing, when you use them (yet), so the confusion is understandable.
The gliding wings make it so that when you jump (and this applies on every jump), you’re able to more quickly move to the left or right. It’s a passive, and subtle effect, and there’s nothing you need to do to activate it after you buy them.
Wings? Shield? Jumping shoes? Speed boots?
errr…sounds like I missed some pretty major things in the game. When I went to Chopple’s shop he didn’t that THESE power-ups.
